Nvidia has announced that it is working closely with Square to optimize the PC version of FFXI Gil game. Nvidia supplied Square with GeForce4 hardware and technical assistance early in the development process, and the game will have additional visual effects when played on GeForce4 Ti graphics cards.
Square has announced that it will begin the beta test of FFXI Gil game, its massively multiplayer online role-playing game, for the PC starting June 18 in Japan. The company has already begun receiving applications on its PlayOnline Web site, though the recommended requirements are limited to higher-end systems, such as those with a Pentium 4, a GeForce3 (or higher), and more than 64MB of video memory.
